City Power Data collection and Verification

Meter Audit Response

City Power on behalf of the City of Johannesburg has embarked on a project to perform a data collection and verification audit on all the stands within City Power's area of supply.

Please note that City Power has appointed Tsekema Consulting Engineers to perform this audit on your premises and meter.

The information required is related to:

Your personal information and that of the property owner if you are a tenant

The location and categorization of your property

Meter technology and operating status

The exercise will help the City understand the challenges that customers face regarding the conditions of electricity supply and that customers are serviced effectively.

Furthermore, this exercise will also ensure that correct data is used when customers are billed. The audit is planned to run for 12 months recommencing from the 17 September 2012. The audit will be approached Region by Region.

Customers' safety is of paramount importance to City Power and the company therefore urges the customers to only allow data collection and verification auditors into their homes who comply with the following :

The audit team visiting your property will:

1. Wear orange reflective jackets with the City of Joburg logo and City Power logo on the front , the Tsekema logo and contact details on the back of the jacket.
2. Be in possession of identifications cards.
3. Be in possession of an audit authorization letter from City of Johannesburg.
