Supplier Registration and Accreditation information
Once a year, City Power advertises on two local newspapers; Sowetan and Business Day, inviting companies to register on the City Power database, in order to create a bigger pool of suppliers, thereby, ensuring supplier rotation. These forms can be collected at The Tender Advice Centre at 40 Heronmere Road in Reuven.
Once a potential supplier has received the forms, the registration process begins. To make the registration and accreditation process a smooth one, the supplier is requested to ensure that all the required documents listed on the cover page of the Supplier Registration and Accreditation Form are submitted, as well as all information provided should be correct.
City Power requests that all documents submitted should be valid; namely, the Tax Clearance Certificate and the BEE Scorecard (if a supplier falls within EMEs- Exempt Micro Enterprises with a turnover of under R5m and do not have a BEE Scorecard, kindly request a letter from your Accountant, stating this fact.
Is it imperative for suppliers to supply City Power with the correct contact details; telephone and cell phone numbers, email and physical address. Before the information is captured, it is checked and random site visits are done to validate the information submitted.
